This is Victoria Soto. She died a hero today. She hid her first graders in the cabinets and closets after hearing the gunfire. When the shooter came to her classroom, she told him that her students were in the gym. He then gunned her down and moved on. She saved the lives of all of her students. Please pass this on if you see it. She deserves to be remembered for her bravery. EDIT- As the original poster of this image and story, I would like to point out that when I first read the story, these were the "facts" laid out before me. Many people have pointed out and linked to other news sites that have different "facts" about some of the details. But many news sites still have differing facts as well. The important fact to see, is that she did something that many people wouldn't. She stood between the gunman and those children, and tried to save them. That still qualifies her as a hero. The other details are much more insignificant, and don't need to be argued over. Thank you all for sharing and liking this photo, I only posted it to honor Victoria and her sacrifice, no matter how she saved the children, she still SAVED them. Here is a link to snopes, where they confirm that she did try to block the gunman, and I'm assuming the original report I read was from her cousin that they report him saying that Victoria was trying to get the children into the closets and cabinets. http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/newtown.asp And an interview with her cousin, with what is probably some of the most up to date information on Victoria! http://abcnews.go.com/2020/video/tragedy-elementary-school-fallen-teachers-story-17980665
